It is one of my favorite seasons: Pride Month!
I am so blessed to work with so many queer women! 50% of my client base identifies with the L, B or Q in the LGBT+ community. It is such a blessing to be able to provide this safe space for my sisters and I am so honored to be a part of their lives in some small way.
We still have so much work to do within us and around us as we all try to embody the radical notion that you should love who you are and love whomever you choose to partner with.
I didn’t remember ever not being bisexual, though I questioned my sexual identity many, many times over. I just knew that love, if I was lucky enough to find it in a romantic way, would not be limited by biological sex.
I never had a grand awakening, a coming out party, or a support system, I just knew the minute I read the definition that it was the closest thing in the English language to describe my sexuality.
It wasn’t the word or someone else that came into the picture that defined or dictated this for me – it was always just who I was, my insides. My beautiful multi-faceted, prismatic, gentle soul.
Regardless of how you identify, who you align with, who you were, or who you want to be – Pride is about inciting real change in the world around us, radical self-acceptance and expression regardless of what rules, societal expectations and times we are born in.
Keep being loud, proud and authentically YOU! The world needs you. You need the TRUEST, HIGHEST YOU.
